After appealing in to a new house recently we started having problems getting a cell phone signal. So I started seeing for a way to boost the cell phone signal on the inside of our house ( we get a great one surface ).
I started doing some investigate and found that I didn't know what I was seeing for.
The prices for cell phone signal boosters went from colse to 0 up over a concentrate thousand, and I didn't know what they were talking about when they were describing the Networks: Cdma, Gsm, Gprs, Edge, Evdo, 1xRtt, Umts, Hspa, 3G or the mobile devices using 800 & 1900 Mhz and a lot of other stuff that was like a dissimilar language to me.
I didn't what to buy a unit that didn't work for our cell phones, and I didn't want to spend more money then I needed to either.
After what I think was weeks of investigate i ultimately figure out in simple terms the incompatibility between some of the units out there.
Some things you need to know before buying a Signal Booster:
1. Is it for home/office or auto/boat/Rv
2. How large of a space needs to be covered if for home.
3. Two story of One story house or office
4. Can you use external or does it need to be internal.
5. How much are you willing to spend.
6. What carrier you have, any information about type of signal for your phone you can get from them.
7. Is it for one phone or more, (even if you live alone think about if other habitancy advent to your house need to use their phones.
From there it is just a matter of sitting down and doing a miniature research. Some of the employee's at your local electronic store can be helpful, but can also just be telling you what the Manufacturer's Rep. Has told them to say to sell the product.
I did ultimately find one that was right for my house and I found that it was economy on-line then at my local stores.
There is a lot of information out there so do your investigate before you buy a cell phone signal booster.
